Men of the plateau state police command have rescued an eight month old baby girl, who was allegedlly sold by her grandmother in Jos plateau state. The baby was sold in Jos few weeks ago but was rescued in onitsha on wednesday. A police source said the mother of the baby who was impregnated by her boyfriend while staying with her grandmother at Rukuba area of Bassa Local Government. Tipped them off with some members of the public. The grandmother was said to have been displeased with the baby so she sought to dispose of her secretly. The baby who was resold many times in the past few weeks after ending up at Onitsha, before she was found is said to be doing fine, while the grandmother and accomplices have been arrested pending investigation. Chai! What a wicked world!.
